1979 Schwinn Tornado Bicycle 100% Authentic Near Complete and all Original.
The only thing I see missing is the reflector and bracket for the reflector on the rear fender. The cardboard or plastic plaque for the handlebar is also missing, if it ever had one.
Now to the originality of this beauty. It’s been in a garage for a few decades. It has the original tires , but for someone to ride the bike they will need changed. They are dry and no longer usable. I am leaving them on for the new owner to decide their fate. It has all of the original paint, handlebars, frame, pedals, seat, chain guard, etc. The serial number is an authentic CHICAGO SCHWINN from 1979. It’s also missing a bolt and nut for the brake mechanism.
I have uploaded images of any significant damage. This includes the missing rear reflector, impact damage on the front fender, crack in the front reflector plastic and any areas with abrasions, scuffs or rust. Overall this is a very clean example and with a little love it can be brought back to life in a jiffy. I’ve not repaired or restored anything about this bike and I’ve went so far as to not even put oil on the chain or back axel. It’s a little stiff from sitting for so long. The bearings are tight also and not wobbly. It’s a very solid bike.

To make shipping more affordable, the bike will have its handle bar and pedals removed carefully. This is so that it can be boxed in a streamline fashion.
