    Description

    This adze is beautifully carved to fit in hand with the blade securely fastened and cushioned with leather binding.
    Yew wood is a very dense and difficult to carve wood and the artisan did a masterful job in sculpting the seal's fins.
    Please note the checking on the seal body and the split below the tail fins on the handle.
    Measures 13" long by 7" tall.
    Items was consigned from Haida Gwaii to Coastal Carvings Gallery.
