    Heritage — Coast Salish/Cree
Randy Stiglitz was born August 17, 1953 on Lesquiti Island, British Columbia to a German mother and Coast Salish father. His family moved to North Vancouver when he was 8 years old.
At the age of 15 Randy began carving under the guidance of local artists on the Capilano Indian Reserve. He credits the legendary Henry Hunt, Sr. as being the strongest influence on his career. Now an established Coast Salish artist, Randy has a unique style that remains true to his cultural past. He continues to explore Salish and Kwakiutl cultures in tandem with his wife Janice Morin, herself an accomplished Coast Salish artist.
In high demand, Randy’s work can be found in a number of galleries and the private collections of Bill Gates and Gene Hackman, among many others.
