    Description

For sale is a print by Canadian Native artist Norval Morrisseau (1932-2007) titled “First Meeting”. This silkscreen is hand signed in pencil, # 122/220, a small edition.
This scene depicts aliens that have come to earth.  In order to learn about what earth is about, they ask the bears.
I have included a photo of Norval signing this print.  This print is NOS from Norval`s caretaker for the last 15 years of his life.
Norval Morrisseau, considered Canada`s most acclaimed native artist, is from the Anishnaabe People from the Ojibway Reserve in Ontario. He founded the Woodlands style of art known for bright colors and thick black lines. His art is collected and exhibited internationally and he has been honored and recognized many times, one being appointed Member of the Order of Canada in 1978. Early Morrisseau prints are not easy to find and this very small edition of 99 makes this colorful
    print sought after by collectors.
The unframed image is 18 X 25 1/2 ”.  The image is very colorful.  The print is in excellent condition with a slight crease in upper left corner.
I have been selling AUTHENTIC native art on eBay since 1999 so buy with confidence.
