Up for sale is a truly phenomenally carved and monumental vintage Inuit / Eskimo Alaskan soapstone carving depicting a reclining walrus with tusks. Measuring in at 15.5 inches long and 7.5 inches tall, it weighs approximately 421.5 ounces / 26.35 pounds! This large and extremely well carved figure is numbered and signed on the underside "E91717 "CDC" along with the original price of 5. The condition is very good but does show some minor signs of age with a couple of old chips to its flipper and back tail of which both do not affect the aesthetic beauty or collectibility of this fine work of art.
