    Approximately 7" x 4-3/4", titled/inscribed signed on the back: "Thunderbird & Sun", Hand Carved by Ray Wesley, Tsimshian Indian, Skeena River, B.C. Ray Wesley was born on January 19, 1935 in Port Essington near Hazelton, British Columbia, Canada. This area is representative of the Tsimshian nation, a tribe that inhibits the northern coast of the province. Ray takes the black fish, a commonly depicted northern motif, as his family crest. Ray has been carving for over 40 years.
