SIGNED VINTAGE ESKIMO/INUIT SOAPSTONE CARVING, A SEAL, CANADA LABEL

Description

This curious soapstone carving suggests and animal with intelligence and humor, the profile having an elongated face with a slight grin.  It measures about 4" x 4" x 1", and has the familiar Canadian label, as well as an artist signature and numerals.  The signature is weak and I cannot figure it out.  The base has 2 old chips on its edge, one on each side, which do not interfere with the carving itself.  Check out my OTHER ITEMS/SELLER STORE.
