HI, this is a vintage 1969 Schwinn Orange Krate 5 speed muscle bike, serial number KE49709, the handlebars and stem are both dated 1969, the crank is dated 1968, this being a 69 model its possible they were using up inventory and used the previous year 1968 crank arm ??, I believe the rest of the bike is original parts but I don't know how to check those parts for dates, heres what I know about the bike, the seat has some tiny cuts and the S part of the seat is worn off, the front brake cable is broke off at the handle, the rear brake works fine, the bike shifts fine, Im not sure if the tires are originals?? the rear reads Schwinn Sting-Ray slik 20 x 2.125 wide tread, it looks like it is a 1970 ??, the front reads 16 x 1 3/4 fit S7 Schwinn tubular rim Taiwan, both look good, the chrome is bright and shinny, the handle bars and sissy bar have the normal road rash in the usual places from laying the bike down and not using the kickstand, the bike has 52 years of tiny dings and scratches, the paint looks original as it shows wear and paint loss in all the usual places, most of the above listed is visible if you zoom in on one of the 12 pictures we provided, we bought the bike from the original owners niece,, its been over 2 years since we got the bike at that time we took it apart and cleaned all the parts and put new grease on the crank and fork bearings, its hung on the wall ever since, shipping to the continental US only, yes we have shipped bikes before and we will pack this one with care, please ask questions before bidding, thanks for looking M & M
