Vintage 1972 LeJeune Road bike and Team Uniform.
Hi, I am selling a red 1972 LeJune Team pro bike with the original tights, jersey (in 1970's polyester!) and sweater.
I bought this bike from the owner of the shop that originally sold it and have the original receipts for the sale. The buyer swapped out the sew ups rims for 27", added leather wrapping to the bars and campy bar end shifters. The original bar wrapping and Brooks seat are on the bike, still in good condition. The buyer did not put much mileage on as the chainrings teeth are still pretty square. This bike is full campy, full 531 of course.
The cutouts on the  record hubs had originally been painted red to match the frame, still there but faded with the years. I'll send a photo if your not sure what I am describing. The only departure from the original bike is the wheels were rebuilt with nice modern Mavic 700c rims and red anodized spoke nipples. It is unbearably cool and in an era of same looking wild painted carbon frames people will stop you on rides and ask you about your bike. I bought it years ago because I grew up riding and racing in that era and just love the bikes of that time, but at 6'4" I have to ride a custom frame from 1982. Otherwise I would keep this. I truly hope this bike gives you as much pleasure in riding as I have had in just seeing it as a display bike.
