    Description

Vintage 1988 Haro Sport Custom Built BMX Freestyle Bike. True Survivor.
For sale is my beloved 1988 Haro Sport. This bike started as a frame and fork that I got for my birthday then I built it up myself as I got money to buy the parts when I was a kid. One of the highlights of this bike is that it has very rare Stylin’ mail order custom 95 spoke Peregrine HP super Pro rims. Stylin’ custom made 95 spoke rims by doubling the spokes all the way around except for where the valve stem is located. I think they did this with a few levels of Peregrine rims but these where the top of the line HP super pros with sealed bearings. I did not spare any expenses with this bike except I went with a 1 piece crank instead of a 3 piece. I just couldn’t pull the trigger on that for some reason. I guess all my money went into the rims. The bike is a true survivor and just needs some love. I rode it hard and wasn’t very good so I crashed a lot. There is a little surface rust in places (see pictures). The rear brake lever’s thumb screw is busted off. The sealed bearing bottom bracket feels like it has a ruff spot. The one roll-on tip of the rear peg is busted off. I’m sure there are other things I am missing. Please ask my any questions.
