Vintage 19” GT RTS MTB :Needs Front Shock Rebuild I think it’s a 1994 the Rare Anodized Purple and the sun has made it look even cool for some reasonIm a big bike nerd and this is my personal project I need to abandon due to health issues. As you can guess I have a lot of time and money into this around 0 and a bunch of time. I just need some money back and I know this is a very specific bike. I became obsessed and went crazy with the details from the polished swing arm to the time mtb pedals and the irc piranha 2.00k tires mounted on exc cond acera x wheels. The list goes on and on Stx special edition derailleurs front and rear and the Rare matching special edition stx 3x8 lever shifter combo. Oem Seatpost and clamp, avocet flex seat, impel crankset, unique stem, anodized azonic bars, oury clear grips, jagwire pro cables, chrome zombie chain,Oleen rear shock works great. I also went out of my way to find a set of mint metal flake brakes with exc cond shimano m65/t pads I chose them because they look and feel amazing comparable with anything in my opinion. I The manitou front shock needs a rebuild. I bought the fork this way and planned on rebuilding it but I need to give up on this project due to a worsening seizure issue. I’m mad i have to sell it this was a dream bike for me. Im not trying to profit I just want my money back. The new owner must pick it up in Attleboro ma. The wheels and piranhas were 0 alone. I went overboard.
Almost everything on this bike was hard to find especially in the condition of pretty much everything. Pedals are 0 for example. Then there are small details that are crazy for what they are like the Oem seat post and clamp especially this time of year. It’s ridiculous I know I’m firm on the price. This is for someone who is seriously into vintage bikes. This isn’t something you can just hop on and ride it will need to be tuned. I did the annoying parts and ran the blue jagwire pro cables.
Back to the forks , I was never fully happy with the fit on the stem it is a hair short for how thick the stem is compared to the length of the fork. I just chose to live with it due to the condition of the shock and how good it looks in all honesty “I know bike dork”. I’m also throwing in a perfectly working fork with a head tube that’s more than long enough. If you want to speed up your riding time while you rebuild the manitou. This is a strange thing your actually getting a deal unlike many bikes at this time.
These are all I have for pictures now , this is also local pickup in Attleboro ma only. Or I guess I will ship for an additional 0. I pay for the bike shipping box then the shipping itself The price is firm ! FINISH IT !!!
