This is a real comfortable upright cruiser that shifts smooth, pedals nicely, everything functions as it should and is ready to ride. Nice looking and cruising Schwinn. With a bath and a buffing, this would really shine nice.
Good solid straight frame with no issues or damaged noted.
Original Green paint that still has a real nice deep metallic shine, is in nice condition for its age, though has some expected minor paint chip/scuff but appear surface and still nice as is. Has nice original decals/lettering.
All cables function good, some newer cables. Nothing seized. Good working brakes and smooth shifting.
Good original chrome fenders with no major rust. Few minor dings but still nice.
Clean chrome crankset with original rat trap pedals. Bearings feel good. Original Schwinn saddle shows some aging but comfy.
Original Schwinn Tubular chrome rims still shine nice, no major pitting or corrosion, some faint peppering that would buff clean. Both spin nice, smooth with no wobbling, but like most it’s age, not perfect.
Includes Schwinn 27” tires, the rear has since been replaced and matches the front. Both have many miles left, minor weathering/signs of use, but no issues, hold air good.
Overall a nice sharp looking vintage varsity that’s ready to ride. Nice fast ride and catches the eyes as well.
